Senior AI Engineer (Fintech): Designing and building core AI platform components including agent runtimes, RAG pipelines, and model gateways with an accent on production-grade reliability, scalability, and security. Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote, Hybrid, or On-site)
Salary: $160,000 – $250,000

What you will do
- Build and scale agent runtimes, including memory, planning, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Design and own RAG and document understanding pipelines for complex insurance artifacts.
- Develop a connector framework for seamless integration with internal systems and carrier portals.
- Establish an evaluation and observability backbone to monitor AI quality, latency, and cost.
- Manage model routing and on-premise model hosting for sensitive data requirements.
- Partner with security and compliance teams to bake governance into the AI platform.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript with experience in Node.js.
- Track record of leading AI/ML projects end-to-end from design to maintenance.
- Experience with modern deployment practices like containerization and CI/CD.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and product teams.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Python and Go.
- Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks, agent runtimes, or RAG systems.
- Experience self-hosting or fine-tuning open-weight LLMs.
- Background in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance.
