Calibration Engineer (Automotive)

TL;DR

Calibration Engineer (Low Voltage Infrastructure): Developing and optimizing electric power management calibrations for vehicles with an accent on low voltage setpoint control, battery saver modes, and load management. Focus on analyzing large datasets from simulations and vehicles to tune system responses and resolve control deficiencies.

Location: Hybrid: Must report to Milford, Michigan at least three times per week

What you will do

• Develop and optimize calibrations to meet performance and timing requirements using Calibration Standard Work.
• Conduct calibration reviews to ensure high quality and coordinate activities with lead calibrators and Scrum teams.
• Diagnose and correct vehicle, system, and controls deficiencies.
• Utilize analytical tools to develop, verify, and update calibration procedures.
• Participate in controls groups to support algorithm development and engage in development trips and test activities.

Requirements

• BS Engineering Degree or equivalent discipline.
• 2+ years of engineering experience.
• Strong ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
• Excellent planning and complex problem-solving skills.
• High level of oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with data acquisition and analysis.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of post-graduation engineering experience.
• Experience with tools such as INCA, Vehicle Spy, CRETA, MDA, and Matlab/Simulink.
• Knowledge of low voltage electric power controls features.
