TL;DR

Internal Communications Manager (Media): Delivering high-quality communications and events to connect colleagues to the FT Group’s priorities with an accent on internal channel management and leadership advisory. Focus on creating engaging messaging, maintaining the corporate intranet, and executing global internal events.

Location: Hybrid in London (averaging two to three days onsite)

What you will do

  • Plan and deliver communications across core internal channels, including newsletters, Slack and Inside FT.
  • Run and maintain the FT Group intranet (LumApps), ensuring clarity, consistency and brand adherence.
  • Deliver internal events for UK and global colleagues, including town halls and talks programmes.
  • Partner with business leaders and project teams to develop clear and engaging messaging.
  • Track engagement and produce reports on the impact of internal communications activity.

Requirements

  • Around 3–5 years proven experience in internal communications, events, marketing or corporate communications.
  • Experience delivering communications across multiple channels, including digital platforms and live events.
  • Experience using content management systems (CMS); familiarity with LumApps is a plus.
  • Strong writing and editing skills to turn complex information into engaging content.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a global organisation or matrixed environment.
  • Familiarity with employee engagement measurement tools and internal analytics.
  • Interest in media, journalism and the FT’s mission.
