Director of Internal Audit (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in London, UK or Luxembourg (onsite, 5 days per week)

What you will do

• Lead risk assessments and develop the Internal Audit plan and overall strategic direction.
• Execute end-to-end audit procedures, including planning, reporting, and remediation validation.
• Present audit results, ratings, and recommendations to senior management and the Audit Committee.
• Oversee the performance of internal audit team members and third-party support providers.
• Collaborate with Brokerage, Crypto, Security, and Engineering teams to strengthen the control environment.
• Establish and manage relationships with senior leaders and risk partners using industry best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of auditing experience in Operations, IT, Risk Management, Compliance, or Information Security.
• Deep expertise in Brokerage, Crypto financial products, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to use automated techniques to strengthen controls in partnership with engineering and product teams.
• Strong experience in executive reporting and cross-functional project management.
• Must be based in London or Luxembourg with 5 days per week office attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience with regulators such as CSSF, ATVP, or FCA.
• Hands-on experience with crypto product audits (spot, derivatives, tokenization).
• Knowledge of licensing requirements in Europe and Asia (MiCA, CASP, VASP, Mifid II, MAS, DORA, GDPR).
