What you will do

• Define the technical roadmap and architecture for core platform components powering fraud detection and identity verification.
• Lead complex architectural initiatives and drive technical alignment across global engineering teams.
• Develop production-grade code and mentor teams to raise overall engineering standards.
• Design and evolve high-throughput distributed systems using Kafka, Flink, and Spark.
• Drive the adoption of AI agentic workflows and LLM-powered automation within production systems and developer tooling.
• Partner with Product Managers to balance technical excellence with business priorities and customer needs.

Requirements

• 15+ years of software engineering experience, with demonstrated success at the Staff or Principal Engineer level.
• Deep backend expertise with JVM technologies (Java, Kotlin, Scala) and/or Go.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, microservices, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Hands-on experience operating large-scale streaming architectures using Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Proven track record of leading complex cross-team technical initiatives from architecture to execution.
• Experience integrating AI agentic workflows and LLM-powered systems in production environments.

Nice to have

• Experience in fraud detection, identity verification, fintech, or risk platforms.
• Full-stack exposure, including Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Background in security engineering, applied cryptography, or privacy-preserving systems.
