Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps)

TL;DR

Senior Platform Engineer (GCP/Kubernetes): Designing and operating scalable platform capabilities and infrastructure foundations with an accent on developer experience, GitOps workflows, and AI infrastructure. Focus on building multi-cluster Kubernetes platforms, implementing service mesh with Istio, and integrating emerging LLM and agentic workflows.

Location: Hybrid in Barcelona, Spain. Relocation support is available.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate platform capabilities used by multiple teams across the company.
• Drive improvements in developer experience by providing scalable self-service workflows and reusable patterns.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps workflows across the full lifecycle.
• Evolve Kubernetes-based platforms, including multi-cluster and multi-region setups.
• Design and operate the Istio-based service mesh layer and edge related capabilities.
• Contribute to AI infrastructure, including self-hosted LLMs, inference workloads, and agentic workflows.

Requirements

• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and containerised environments.
• Solid understanding of Linux, networking, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and operating production systems at scale.
• Familiarity with IaC, GitOps workflows, and platform engineering concepts.
• Ability to mentor other engineers and lead technically complex initiatives.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Barcelona, Spain.

Nice to have

• Experience with applied AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT.
• Curiosity and eagerness to integrate AI-driven solutions into software development workflows.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for debugging and enhancing productivity.
