Senior Fullstack Engineer (.NET/React)

What you will do

• Build and own end-to-end products across .NET services, TypeScript frontend, PostgreSQL, and GitOps deployment.
• Design scalable backend systems, focusing on APIs, event handling, and clean architecture patterns.
• Deliver high-quality frontend experiences with accessible components and strong data/state management.
• Work with cloud-native, declarative infrastructure using Kubernetes and Crossplane.
• Establish high standards for testing (unit, integration, contract) and build meaningful observability (tracing, logging, SLOs).
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape clear, testable acceptance criteria.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience building production services in C# / ASP.NET Core or TypeScript / Next.js / React.
• Proficiency in running services on Kubernetes, including deployments, probes, autoscaling, NetworkPolicies, and RBAC.
• Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes operators and CRDs, specifically reconciliation loops and custom resources.
• Hands-on experience with GCP (GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub) or Azure (AKS, Azure DB for PostgreSQL).
• Clear written communication skills for creating RFCs, ADRs, and runbooks.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Manchester, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with Crossplane authoring Compositions and CompositeResourceDefinitions.
• GitOps fluency with ArgoCD, Helm, and CI/CD authorship in GitLab.
• Experience building custom Kubernetes operators using Operator SDK or Kubebuilder.
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd.
• Experience migrating products from bundled releases to continuous deployment or contributing to Backstage.
