TL;DR

IT Helpdesk & Security Engineer (Cybersecurity/IT Support): Providing first-line technical assistance and endpoint security defense for the hirify.global Europe HQ with an accent on user support and incident triage. Focus on maintaining system performance, conducting forensic imaging of compromised endpoints, and collaborating with the Cyber Security team on DFIR investigations.

Location: On-site (5 days per week) in London, UK

What you will do

  • Provide first-line technical support across email, Teams, and in-person interactions.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for user accounts and hardware deployment.
  • Maintain user devices for policy compliance and create IT documentation in Confluence.
  • Support O365, Microsoft Entra, and various SaaS applications.
  • Act as a first responder for suspected security incidents on endpoints, performing triage and containment.
  • Capture forensic images using industry-standard tooling (e.g., FTK Imager) to support DFIR investigations.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows OS troubleshooting and system maintenance.
  • Foundational understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security or a security-focused certification.
  • Practical ability to acquire forensic images from Windows/macOS endpoints while preserving chain of custody.
  • Working knowledge of EDR (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint), SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel), and email security.
  • Awareness of MITRE ATT&CK and basic log analysis skills (Windows Event Logs, Sysmon).

Nice to have

  • Proficiency with macOS environments and Jamf administration.
  • Experience with ManageEngine Endpoint Central and Microsoft Intune.
  • ITIL Foundation (v3/v4) or CompTIA A+ certifications.
  • Security certifications such as GCIH, GCFA, or experience with DFIR tools like KAPE, Velociraptor, and Autopsy.
