What you will do

• Lead SOC operations, including monitoring, alert triage, and incident response.
• Oversee incident investigations and act as the primary escalation point during active incidents.
• Maintain and optimize SOC playbooks, procedures, and the internal knowledge base.
• Drive continuous improvement in detection quality and optimize SIEM, SOAR, and EDR performance.
• Manage relationships with third-party SOC or MSSP providers.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of SOC analysts.

Requirements

• Experience leading a SOC or security monitoring team.
• Strong understanding of incident detection, triage, and escalation.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, and security monitoring tools.
• Experience working in 24/7 or shift-based environments.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom (Hybrid in London or Manchester).

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated or critical infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with NIS2 or similar security frameworks.
• Experience working with MSSPs.
