What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Develop and optimize data models using BigQuery and dbt.
• Build and manage real-time and batch data processing using Kafka.
• Support the migration of legacy data systems into modern cloud-based architectures.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability for data pipelines to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Platform Engineers to enable self-service data capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with BigQuery and dbt for data transformations.
• Solid experience with Kafka and building batch or streaming data pipelines.
• Very good knowledge of SQL and cloud data platforms (preferably GCP).
• Proficiency in Python or Scala for data processing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for data workflows and orchestration tools like Airflow or Cloud Composer.
• Must be based in the European Union and possess a valid work permit.

Nice to have

• GCP Professional Data Engineer certification.
• Experience with real-time analytics use cases and BigQuery cost optimization.
• Experience applying GenAI within the SDLC, including defined workflows and prompt patterns.
• Interest in agent-based workflows and AI-augmented development.
