What you will do

• Identify and analyze recurring performance issues across deployed robotic systems.
• Develop validated engineering enhancements based on mechanical, electrical, and safety data.
• Design scalable solutions to improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Create implementation-ready documentation, drawings, and hardware packages for field teams.
• Lead enhancement projects from initial definition through validation and final rollout.
• Partner with Field Service and Customer Success to standardize improvements and reduce fleet variability.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to San Francisco or Oakland, CA.
• Hands-on experience building, commissioning, or supporting automated systems.
• Strong background in industrial robotics and automation integration.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, motion components, PLCs, and safety systems.
• Comfort navigating CAD in 2D and 3D environments.
