Port Automation Integration Engineer

Location: Long Beach, CA, US. Support and conduct integration work on site at a client-specified location or remotely (fully or partially, depending on the project). Ability to travel up to 50% and/or work at client sites, often outside of normal business hours as part of a global team.

Salary: $130,000 - $201,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)

What you will do

• Serve as an Integration Engineer, managing workstreams, budgets, and client interactions.
• Apply engineering principles to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions.
• Work with clients and vendors to integrate their solutions, specifying requirements and developing test cases.
• Conduct tests in emulation environments and support testing in live equipment environments.
• Define KPIs and implement data analytics solutions.
• Support staff development, management, and recruitment activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience executing complex automation projects in an industrial sector.
• Proven experience in delivering value to industrial operations environments by integrating automation and real-time information management systems.
• Excellent understanding of Software Development Lifecycle Management (SDLC).
• Excellent understanding of software development technologies: relational databases, software programming / scripting, messaging, regular expressions, and business intelligence technologies.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and/or work at client sites, often outside of normal business hours as part of a global team.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of container terminal operational systems and equipment.
• Specific experience with OSISoft PI and Tableau.
