Senior Software Engineer (Quantum Computing)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain public API features and open-source SDKs for running customer jobs on quantum hardware and simulators.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for automating system tuning and calibration.
• Develop software for scheduling the execution and analyzing the results of quantum algorithms.
• Collaborate with Quantum Engineers to write idiomatic, tested, and extensible code for executing experiments on hardware.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of post-degree professional experience as a software engineer.
• Proficiency with Python and SQL.
• Track record of implementing architecture-level features in complex computer systems.
• Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and software development best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with compiled languages such as C++ or Rust.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, and Terraform.
• Javascript and UI/UX design skills for web applications.
• Background in physics.
