What you will do

• Create and maintain rigs for unique characters throughout the development process.
• Support and implement animation content, fine-tuning parameters for gameplay animation.
• Prototype and deliver combat, character locomotion, movement mechanics, and facial animation in collaboration with Programming and Design.
• Investigate and improve animation pipelines, optimizing workflows and tools to set best practices.
• Troubleshoot asset and editor problems for the Animation and other development teams.
• Document systems and feature functionality for current and future team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Animator for games, emphasizing animation systems.
• Strong knowledge of Maya and Python.
• Experience with Unreal Engine Animation Systems and Animation Blueprints.
• Proven expertise with animation pipelines from prototype to final assets.
• Must be based in North America.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cinematics and facial animation.
• Knowledge of procedural or physically-altered animation techniques.
• Experience with multiple 3D packages.
• Familiarity with Realtime Shaders and FX/Simulation.
