What you will do

• Lead 3D character art and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including narrative and design for a new IP.
• Mentor and inspire artists through all phases of production, fostering a culture of growth and feedback.
• Establish scalable art workflows and high-quality bars for internal and external partner studios.
• Develop internal and external style guides and manage the creation of game assets.
• Ensure all art decisions align with the Art Director's visual goals and directions.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in early AAA game development.
• Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine and 3D software (Maya, Blender, or Max) and Substance.
• Deep understanding of stylized art and character art decisions critical for competitive action or fighting games.
• Experience leading teams across 3D character art, customization, and NPCs.
• Ability to scale content with outsourcing companies.

Nice to have

• Experience in the platformer genre.
• Experience with high-angle isometric camera perspectives.
• Experience leading multiple teams on a live game (Game as a Service).
