What you will do
- Responsible for animation and character integration in Unreal, maintaining rigs for bipedal and non-bipedal characters.
- Research new technologies to solve potential animation problems and optimize pipelines.
- Investigate and resolve animation bugs across various in-game systems.
- Ensure character rigs are efficient, scalable, and optimized for real-time performance.
- Develop technical documentation to share knowledge with animators and programmers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in animation within the video game industry.
- Expertise in Maya and Unreal Engine.
- Strong technical skills in rigging and skinning.
- Solid understanding of the principles of animation.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Montreal.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Python, MEL script, and/or Mgear.
