What you will do

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure compliance with company and industry quality standards.
• Conduct supplier audits (process, product, system) to qualify new and existing partners.
• Develop performance metrics and implement corrective/preventive action plans for nonconformances.
• Establish and validate supplier processes including tool trials, first article inspection (FAI), and PPAP.
• Review and approve technical documentation such as control plans and FMEAs.
• Lead weekly supplier calls and participate in design reviews to mitigate manufacturing risks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing or supplier quality within the automotive or aerospace industry.
• Knowledge of castings, forgings, gears, welding, and associated quality requirements.
• Proficiency with core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
• Ability to travel domestic and international up to 30-50%.
• Must be based in or able to work in Garden Grove, CA.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certifications (Certified Quality Engineer, Auditor, or Manager).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
