What you will do
- Perform immediate medical care for sick and injured patients in accordance with clinical practice guidelines.
- Operate ambulances and support vehicles safely across various communities in Nova Scotia.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and first responders during emergency calls and mass casualty incidents.
- Facilitate patient transport between medical facilities and provide critical support during hospital transitions.
- Maintain clinical documentation, equipment readiness, and vehicle decontamination protocols.
Requirements
- Licensure: Must be licensed with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Paramedicine (NSROP)
- Certification: Completion of an NSROP approved EMR training program and passing the COPR Entry to Practice Exam
- Driver's License: Valid Nova Scotia Class 4 driver's license
- Physical Fitness: Successful completion of the Employment Physical Abilities Test (PC-PAT/OPPAT)
- Language: Ability to understand, speak, read, and write English for communication and reporting
- Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector search

- Experience operating larger vehicles.
