What you will do

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, supplier invoices, and reconciliations using Xero.
• Track and manage commercial retentions, following up with builders and clients regarding outstanding amounts.
• Handle job costing and allocation of project expenses to support project profitability analysis.
• Assist with BAS preparation and ensure compliance with Australian bookkeeping and record-keeping standards.
• Provide general administrative and operational support to the estimator and internal team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within construction, trades, or commercial projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Xero and strong experience managing commercial retentions.
• Familiarity with Australian bookkeeping practices and BAS processes.
• Reliable computer setup and stable high-speed internet connection.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Brisbane Time.

Nice to have

• BAS Agent qualification or BAS preparation experience.
• Experience supporting construction estimators or project teams.
• Deep knowledge of construction workflows and invoicing structures.
