Salary: $175,000 - $234,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and develop algorithms to optimize Search relevance, retrieval, and ranking for both users and businesses.
• Own the end-to-end search experience, including query understanding and semantic retrieval using LLMs.
• Design and analyze complex product A/B tests, monitoring features from development through post-release.
• Build scalable metrics and dashboards to track Search performance and inform strategic decisions.
• Partner with ML, Engineering, Product, and Design teams to turn user intent into outcomes.
• Analyze messy data to find insights that reframe problems and prototype iterative solutions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• 5+ years of relevant Data Science experience.
• Direct experience with Search, recommendations, or information retrieval products (ranking, relevance evaluation).
• Expert knowledge of SQL and Python, including numpy, pandas, and scikit-learn.
• Strong proficiency in experimentation and designing complex A/B tests.
• Ability to synthesize and explain complex technical problems to executives and cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with ranking algorithms for unstructured content.
• Experience designing, deploying, or monitoring ML production models.
• Basic understanding of building RAG systems.
