Information Assurance Analyst (DOD)

Information Assurance Analyst (DOD): Supporting the Missile Defense Agency by managing RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation and ensuring system compliance with DoD and NIST standards. Location: Must be based onsite at Vandenberg Space Force Base, Lompoc, CA

Salary: $120,000 – $130,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and maintain RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) documentation.
• Monitor and implement security controls to ensure compliance with DoD and NIST requirements.
• Utilize cybersecurity tools like ACAS, STIG, and Trellix ePO for verification and auditing.
• Manage the system's Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and provide technical assistance.
• Perform security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response coordination.
• Prepare documentation for Control Validation Tests (CVTs) to support ATO maintenance.

Requirements

• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Must have a current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE)
• Minimum 4 years of general work experience and 2 years of dedicated cybersecurity experience.
• Strong understanding of computer systems, network architecture, and configuration management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be able to work onsite at Vandenberg Space Force Base

Nice to have

• Experience with eMASS and Security Controls Traceability Matrix (SCTM).
• Background in system and log auditing.
• Experience with endpoint security enforcement and vulnerability management.
