Cybersecurity Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Cybersecurity Engineer (AI): Sustaining and enhancing the OMS backbone and support systems for DoD and Intelligence Community users with an accent on network engineering, security compliance, and AI integration. Focus on resolving security findings, deploying ESS modules, and ensuring strict STIG compliance.

Location: Fort Detrick, MD. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the necessary security clearances.

What you will do

• Provide hands-on systems and network engineering support for the Organizational Messaging Service (OMS) National Gateway Centers.
• Apply patches and modify system configurations using Group/Local Policy and Windows registry.
• Resolve security findings on systems and deploy Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) modules.
• Support the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process by gathering evidence and responding to security controls.
• Ensure full system compliance with DISA STIGs, ACAS scans, and IAVAs.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot or an approved equivalent AI solution.
• DoD 8140 qualified certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+).
• Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI with SCI clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and batch commands.
• Hands-on experience with DISA’s Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Nice to have

• System Administration experience.
• Experience with CYBERCOM’s Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) notices.
• Experience installing and configuring DISA's Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS).
• Experience with DoD's Endpoint Security Solution (ESS/HBSS).
• Working knowledge of public key infrastructure (PKI) and encryption systems.
