What you will do

• Provide 24/7 operational support for Linux HPC compute, storage, and RDMA fabrics.
• Solve complex problem reports from the research community and manage the full problem lifecycle.
• Write code in Go, Python, or C to automate tasks and diagnose difficult system issues.
• Collaborate across teams to develop and test infrastructure and software.
• Manage relationships with hardware and software vendors, including international travel.
• Implement performance monitoring and maintain comprehensive system documentation.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from the London office (average 5 days a week).
• At least 2+ years of professional Linux systems administration experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python, or C).
• Strong root cause analysis skills and a high sense of urgency.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and conduct maintenance during evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

• Experience with parallel filesystems such as Lustre or GPFS.
• Experience with batch systems like Slurm or Grid Engine.
• Knowledge of high-performance network interconnects.
