What you will do

• Analyze humanitarian needs using traditional and novel data sources to inform emergency cash responses.
• Visualize targeting data through maps and dashboards to support operational decision-making.
• Generate actionable recipient lists for enrollment in emergency programs.
• Monitor global crisis events and integrate data from humanitarian agencies into internal workflows.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to iterate on targeting tools and experiments.
• Document data sources and methodologies to scale best practices across different contexts.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years of experience in humanitarian needs analysis, including assessing vulnerabilities and interpreting crisis data.
• 2+ years of experience producing actionable data tools for decision-makers.
• Strong technical fluency in data analytics and ability to shape complex data challenges into viable strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to thrive in fast-changing, high-stakes environments with a curiosity-driven mindset.
• Must be able to overlap with an East Africa timezone by at least 3 hours.

Nice to have

• Prior field experience in humanitarian response or international social protection.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation.
• Experience with geospatial data analysis and GIS applications.
