Senior Credit Risk Analyst (Fintech): Managing debt prevention strategies and credit risk analytics to optimize customer operations with an accent on reducing bad debt and improving portfolio performance. Location: Must be based in the UK and able to work from one of our hubs (Bristol, Glasgow, or London) at least once a week.

Salary: £52,000 – £58,000 + 15% bonus + 9% Flex Pay.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize credit risk and collections strategies to reduce bad debt and improve customer outcomes.
• Build and maintain advanced dashboards in Tableau and Looker to monitor KPIs and portfolio trends.
• Design commercial and credit risk models, including Probability of Default (PD) models, and conduct A/B testing.
• Automate manual processes to improve operational efficiency and data accessibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actionable insights that influence business performance.
• Support team growth by conducting peer reviews and promoting best practices in data analytics.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK as sponsorship is not available.
• Proven experience in Credit Risk Analytics or Data Science, ideally within financial services or utilities.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience using Python or R for complex data analysis.
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts including hypothesis testing and linear/logistic regression.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker and cloud platforms like Google Cloud/BigQuery.
• Ability to present complex analysis to senior management and stakeholders.

• Experience with version control systems like Github.
• Background in energy or financial services sectors.
