TL;DR
Civil, Structural Estimator (Construction/CSA): Coordinate and consolidate civil/structural/architectural estimate inputs into proposal estimates with an accent on quantity takeoffs, productivity analysis, and cost efficiency reviews. Focus on building estimate components (contingency, escalation, reconciliation) and maintaining historical cost data while supporting continuous improvement for CSA scopes.
Location: Overland Park, KS; Ann Arbor, MI; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Bloomington, MN (US). Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days.
Salary: $107,404–$161,150 annually (Colorado); $102,522–$161,150 annually (Minnesota).

What you will do
- Coordinate and consolidate discipline estimates into proposal estimates.
- Review design scopes, develop quantities, and perform construction productivity analysis for CSA scopes.
- Prepare direct labor estimates and indirect cost estimates (distributable/contractors indirect).
- Develop estimate components including contingency, escalation, and cost reconciliation.
- Compare scope, quantities, and costs across projects; prepare management presentations.
- Review designs/specifications for cost effectiveness and recommend improvements; update and maintain historical cost data.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).
- Strong estimating principles/procedures and cost principles/procedures.
- Ability to interpret and understand specifications and contracts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Access experience is expected/required by preferred skills.
- Verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
