Location: Must be based in Austin, TX (Hybrid: onsite Monday-Wednesday)

Salary: $190,000 - $215,000 a year

What you will do

• Deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable code to strengthen Trust & Safety systems.
• Manage the full development lifecycle from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product partners to build proactive harm detection systems.
• Guide and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
• Implement AI tools to accelerate development and improve code quality and efficiency.
• Champion the responsible and inclusive use of AI in engineering workflows.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience writing production-level software in at least one modern language.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects end-to-end and take ownership of outcomes.
• Experience using AI-powered tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot) for productivity.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical partners.
• Agile mindset with a focus on moving from idea to impact quickly.
• No Visa sponsorship available.

Nice to have

• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in Trust & Safety, machine learning systems, or recommendation systems.
