Sustainable Development Intern (ESG)

TL;DR

Sustainable Development Intern (ESG): Contributing to corporate sustainability reporting and ESG strategy with an accent on compliance and data collection. Focus on developing Sustainability reports, monitoring regulatory trends, and managing internal sustainability communications.

Location: Hybrid in Montreal (Ville Saint-Laurent). Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

What you will do

• Develop hirify.global’s Sustainability reports and participate in compliance activities related to upcoming regulations.
• Monitor sustainability trends and assess gaps in reporting requirements.
• Create robust data collection processes and controls to secure limited assurance for reports.
• Draft and publish internal sustainability communications and manage LinkedIn posts.
• Lead the hirify.global Volunteering program communications and project management.
• Collaborate with other departments on emerging sustainability priorities.

Requirements

• Must be a student pursuing a university degree (undergraduate in environmental studies, sustainable development, communications, or related field).
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada and ability to pass the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) security check.
• Proficiency in English and French (verbal and written).
• Understanding of corporate sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, UNGC, and CSRD.
• Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations.
• Analytical mindset with high rigor and attention to detail.
