What you will do

  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for select client accounts in the industrials sector.
  • Develop and execute communications strategies to deliver results and meet client expectations.
  • Write and edit a variety of high-quality materials, including memos, press releases, presentations, and media pitches.
  • Counsel clients on industry, company, and market developments to manage public perception.
  • Manage and mentor account teams, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of all client work.
  • Participate in generating new business proposals and identifying opportunities to add value for clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, political science, international affairs, or journalism.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in a communications agency, corporate environment, or government.
  • Full-time US work authorization is required (no sponsorship provided).
  • Proven professional network and experience pitching media to secure client coverage.
  • Superior public policy research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to travel to FTI offices and client sites as needed.

Nice to have

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and AI/LLM tools.
  • Familiarity with industrials sector issues, such as chemicals, manufacturing, aerospace, and defense.
  • Experience with media monitoring tools (Factiva, Cision) and analytics platforms (Brandwatch, Talkwalker).
  • Knowledge of the Associated Press Stylebook.
