Salary: CAD $200,000 – $295,000

What you will do

• Develop and maintain an extensive suite of JavaScript SDKs for Node.js, Bun, Deno, and Cloudflare Workers.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the development lifecycle, from planning and implementation to testing and documentation.
• Utilize AI tools to optimize productivity and solve complex technical challenges.
• Collaborate with open-source committees such as TC39, the Node.js core team, and OpenTelemetry SIG to steer JavaScript standards.
• Interface directly with the user base on GitHub and assist Customer Operations in resolving critical bugs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or web developer.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript, specifically for building libraries or SDKs.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js and exposure to modern runtimes like Bun, Deno, or Cloudflare Workers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Based in San Francisco (Bay Area) or willing to relocate there.

Nice to have

• Experience with WinterCG or other runtime interoperability initiatives.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry instrumentation in server-side or edge environments.
• Proven history of contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries.
• Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups.
