What you will do

  • Assess and underwrite enhanced annuity applications according to business guidelines and risk frameworks.
  • Gather and evaluate medical, financial, and supporting information to inform accurate decision-making.
  • Deliver balanced outcomes that meet customer needs while effectively managing financial risk.
  • Maintain accurate records across underwriting and workflow systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service delivery and customer outcomes.

Requirements

  • Must be based in or able to commute to Cardiff, UK.
  • Proven experience in underwriting within a direct office or reinsurance environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
  • Knowledge of medical risk factors and their impact on underwriting outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of financial services, market conditions, and commercial considerations.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain decisions clearly.
