What you will do

• Provide scientific leadership in the design and interpretation of pathology endpoints for target validation and in vivo pharmacology.
• Perform anatomic pathology evaluations for investigative and regulatory toxicity studies throughout the drug development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of preclinical safety and biomarker scientists to support drug discovery.
• Prepare pathology specimens and data for regulatory submissions, scientific publications, and presentations.
• Drive the adoption of innovative AI-powered solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in histopathology processes.
• Act as a preclinical safety representative on discovery and development project teams.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent degree with ACVP/ECVP board certification in veterinary anatomic pathology.
• PhD in a relevant scientific discipline is strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in discovery or toxicologic pathology within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector.
• Practical experience with imaging technologies and molecular diagnostic pathology techniques.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills with the ability to mentor non-DVM scientists.
• Ability to contribute to timely, consensus-based decision-making on complex scientific topics.

Nice to have

• Experience with new modalities such as genetic and cell therapies.
• Proficiency in IHC/ISH, multiplex imaging, and digital pathology tools.
• Experience in the interpretation of tissue-based biomarkers.
