What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and implement primary tissue assays to support drug discovery programs.
• Design and execute experiments using ex vivo organ perfusion and nervous system models.
• Conduct in vitro and in vivo pharmacology studies to evaluate drug efficacy and safety.
• Automate data collection and analysis workflows to enhance experimental efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medicinal chemistry, biology, and toxicology.
• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to project teams and leadership.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Biology, or related field with 0-3 years of experience (or equivalent Master's/Bachelor's experience).
• Hands-on experience with primary tissue assays, ex vivo organ perfusion, and nervous system models.
• Proficiency in pharmacology techniques including animal handling, dosing, and tissue dissection.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools like Python, MATLAB, or GraphPad Prism.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week in San Diego, CA.
