What you will do

• Design and execute experimental synthetic work to deliver material on 10g to 100g scales.
• Independently develop and optimize chemical processes for rapid material delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex experimental procedures and implement alternative synthetic approaches.
• Interpret complex data and organize results into conclusions to guide project research.
• Introduce emerging technologies to advance existing research platforms.
• Contribute to patent and publication preparation and present study findings.

Requirements

• PhD or post-doc with 0-3 years of experience, or MS with 3+ years, or BS with 6+ years of relevant industrial experience.
• Strong synthetic chemistry knowledge and mechanistic understanding.
• Experience working in a large-scale synthetic laboratory.
• Proficiency using glassware of 5L or greater.
• Understanding of process safety and hazard assessment.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week in San Diego.
