What you will do

• Consult on complex engineering initiatives and large-scale planning for specialty software engineering.
• Drive financial accountability and optimize cloud spend across the organization.
• Implement tagging, allocation, and governance standards at scale.
• Integrate cost controls into engineering pipelines and operational processes.
• Create dashboards and present financial insights to executives and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Finance and CTO teams to establish a new FinOps function.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience.
• 6-10 years of experience in cloud platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and GCP cost management and billing models.
• Proven FinOps experience delivering application-level cost visibility, allocation, and chargeback.
• Strong automation capabilities using scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Must be located in or able to work onsite in Chandler, Arizona.

Nice to have

• Experience operating FinOps in large-scale or multi-cloud environments.
• Kubernetes or container cost optimization experience.
• Familiarity with third-party FinOps or cloud cost management platforms.
• FinOps Foundation certification.
