Platform Engineer & Production Support (SRE)

TL;DR

Platform Engineer & Production Support (SRE/DevOps): Ensuring stability, observability, and reliability of 20+ cloud-native applications with an accent on SRE practices and production engineering. Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote) in Charlotte, NC, Irving, TX, or Minneapolis, MN

What you will do

• Lead production support for a portfolio of 20+ applications to ensure stability, performance, and rapid issue resolution.
• Design and build advanced observability, monitoring, and alerting dashboards using Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics, and Prometheus.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed microservices environments to reduce MTTR.
• Drive adoption of modern SRE practices, including automation and AIOps solutions.
• Support cloud-native applications running on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and respond with urgency during production incidents.

Requirements

• 10+ years of platform engineering and production support experience.
• 5+ years of experience with RedHat Linux, OpenShift, Kubernetes, Java, Microservices, Spring Boot, and Python.
• 5+ years of experience creating observability dashboards (Grafana, Splunk, AppDynamics).
• 5+ years of experience with observability alerting and incident management (AIOps, ServiceNow, BigPanda).
• 4+ years of experience with React, Apache Kafka, and relational databases.
• Must be eligible to work on a W2 basis; no C2C eligibility for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience within financial services environments.
• Prior software development experience, particularly within Java-based ecosystems.
