Manufacturing Engineer (Hardware)

Manufacturing Engineer (Hardware): Supporting the design, development, and manufacturing of a full product line of physical security devices with an accent on root cause analysis and part-level manufacturing. Focus on driving production improvements with JDM/CM vendors and ensuring high-quality mass production of mechanical parts.

What you will do

• Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions for manufacturing, quality, and field reliability issues.
• Own part-level manufacturing for custom mechanicals including plastic injection molding, die-casting, and sheet metal.
• Drive manufacturing and sustaining efforts in Taiwan and Southeast Asia, including late-stage NPI programs.
• Develop and execute validation, verification, and reliability test plans (DoEs).
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and supply chain teams to improve DFM/DFA.
• Optimize fixtures, factory tests, and cycle times in collaboration with JDM & CM factory teams.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• 8+ years of experience in a hardware manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English & Mandarin communication skills.
• Ability to frequently visit vendors throughout Taiwan and travel internationally up to 15%.
• Experience creating and reviewing 2D & 3D CAD drawings.
• Expertise in plastic injection molding, die-casting, and sheet metal stamping for enterprise-grade products.
