Location: Hybrid (Sydney, Australia) - 2 days in Surry Hills office (Tue/Thu) and 3 days remote

hirify.global is a venture-backed startup creating a workforce management platform for the construction industry to improve trust, transparency, and business decision-making.

What you will do

  • Design and own the implementation of UX, architecture, data models, and APIs for new features.
  • Develop clean, performant UI components using React and Next.js specifically optimized for construction site environments.
  • Integrate AI tools like Claude Code into the daily development workflow to increase engineering velocity.
  • Implement complex frontend interactions, including drag-and-drop and real-time collaborative editing.
  • Manage scope, sequencing, and delivery timelines while proactively communicating technical trade-offs.
  • Collaborate directly with founders and partner with support, sales, and CS to resolve customer escalations.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Sydney for a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Extensive experience shipping complex frontend features in production at a Senior or Staff level.
  • Deep expertise in React, Next.js, and TypeScript at scale.
  • AI-native working style with daily use of tools like Claude Code.
  • Strong product thinking and the ability to translate customer pain points into technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
