What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, production-grade systems that underpin the platform at scale.
• Provide architectural guidance and cross-team technical leadership to ensure long-term maintainability.
• Own significant platform surface areas end-to-end, from system design through to deployment and observability.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate business requirements into technical strategies.
• Mentor engineers across the organization to foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Shape engineering standards, processes, and best practices as the company scales.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack or backend development.
• Proven track record of operating at Staff scope, driving architecture and influencing technical direction across multiple squads.
• Strong technical foundations in cloud infrastructure and APIs, preferably AWS and Node.js.
• Ability to own complex, ambiguous problems end-to-end and deliver high-impact outcomes.
• Customer-centric mindset with a focus on reliability and scalability.
• Must be based in Sydney, Australia, for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Experience building AI features leveraging LLMs or agent workflows.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as IAM, SSO, audit logs, or compliance frameworks.
• Experience building integration ecosystems or native third-party connectors.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
