Salary: $190,000 – $235,000 base plus annual discretionary variable remuneration

What you will do

• Serve as the US-based SME for the GCP platform, specifically focusing on GKE workloads and regional cloud architecture.
• Research pain points and deliver high-impact engineering solutions to reduce toil across cloud and trading infrastructure.
• Manage and optimize Linux and Kubernetes environments using Terraform, spanning bare-metal and virtualized systems.
• Improve global monitoring and alerting frameworks by incorporating adaptive and self-healing mechanisms.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex Linux, Kubernetes, and Cloud issues, including on-call participation.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to define and implement platform standards and large-scale initiatives.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience operating complex production environments across Linux, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in GKE (cluster operations, orchestration, networking, security, and observability).
• Strong Terraform skills for provisioning secure and scalable infrastructure.
• Solid Linux fundamentals, including performance tuning, debugging, and bare-metal experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and operational workflows.
• Experience with Kafka and configuration management tools like Puppet or Ansible.
