Corporate Development Associate (Finance)

TL;DR

Corporate Development Associate (Finance): Managing M&A, investments, and inorganic growth initiatives with an accent on financial modeling and target vetting. Focus on building complex valuation models, coordinating cross-functional due diligence, and preparing executive-level strategic recommendations.

Location: Hybrid schedule based in South Charlotte, NC (Tuesday through Thursday in office, Monday and Friday remote)

Salary: $90,000 - $130,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and own detailed financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow models with scenario stress-testing.
• Manage the M&A and partnership deal pipeline and conduct initial screening of targets for strategic fit.
• Coordinate end-to-end workstreams across Finance, Legal, HR, Tax, and Operations during transactions.
• Prepare screening memos and executive-ready presentation decks for leadership and board-level reviews.
• Conduct industry research and competitive landscape analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
• Support post-close integration planning and perform portfolio reviews to flag performance trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or corporate development.
• Advanced financial modeling skills with the ability to build models from scratch.
• High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CapIQ.
• Experience using AI-based software and tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.).
• Must be based in or able to work from the South Charlotte, NC Headquarters.
