TL;DR

Sr. Director, Legal Innovation Partner (LegalTech): Leading the Legal Innovation Partner team to drive AI adoption and transformation for strategic law firm clients with an accent on revenue accountability and long-term retention. Focus on building a strategic playbook for AI transformation, managing high-value executive relationships, and scaling ARR through renewals and expansions.

Location: Hybrid / Remote (Australia / APAC)

Salary: $240,000 – $250,000 USD plus bonus

What you will do

  • Lead and develop the Legal Innovation Partner team, setting performance expectations and a culture of client-first excellence.
  • Own a portfolio of strategic client relationships, personally driving renewals, expansions, and executive-level engagement with CIOs and innovation partners.
  • Define and refine the firm's AI transformation engagement model in partnership with Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
  • Collaborate with the VP of Customer Success and Sales to forecast renewal pipelines and proactively manage at-risk accounts.
  • Represent the company as a thought leader in legal AI adoption at industry conferences and forums.
  • Hire, coach, and retain top talent capable of commanding credibility with law firm management committees and C-suite leaders.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in legal technology, legal operations, or enterprise customer success, with at least 4 years in leadership.
  • Deep understanding of law firm operations and the current state of AI adoption in the legal industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of growing a B2B SaaS book of business with direct accountability for renewal and expansion outcomes.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills for presenting to Management Committees and C-suite leaders.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% to client sites, conferences, and internal meetings.

Nice to have

  • JD or equivalent legal industry experience.
  • Prior law firm practice or experience working with AmLaw 200 firms and large legal departments.
  • Familiarity with document management systems and the broader LegalTech ecosystem.
