What you will do

• Develop design, fabrication, and installation documentation for custom machinery.
• Specify and purchase equipment while adhering to project financial budgets.
• Perform custom design of manufacturing and packaging equipment using first-principle physics.
• Integrate robotic systems into mechanical designs.
• Collaborate with project teams and customers to ensure project accuracy and timely completion.
• Conduct site visits to manufacturing facilities for measurements and equipment startups.

Requirements

• Minimum associate’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent internship experience.
• Proficiency in 3D design software, specifically Autodesk Inventor and Solid Edge.
• Experience creating detailed design/fabrication drawing packages and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Ability to evaluate mechanical tolerances, stack-ups, and design for manufacturability.
• Must be able to travel up to 25%, including extended hours during customer startups.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid environment with 25-40% time spent in shop/manufacturing facilities.

Nice to have

• Experience in fluid power design, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Up to 2 years of experience in mechanical design of custom manufacturing equipment.
