Location: Remote (USA only)
Salary: $50–$67.50 per hour

What you will do
- Research, write, and edit technical content for F-16 maintenance and operations manuals.
- Convert legacy SGML technical manuals into S1000D XML format.
- Apply style guides and formatting standards to ensure consistency across all deliverables.
- Review and validate technical content for accuracy and compliance prior to release.
- Support documentation updates based on customer feedback and aircraft configuration changes.
- Ensure all publications meet quality assurance requirements and pass audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States (W2 contract).
- Experience with SGML and XML tagging.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems such as avionics, propulsion, or structures.
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to interpret engineering data.
Nice to have
- Prior military aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience with S1000D and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM).
- Proficiency with Epic Editor, Isodraw, or Arbor Text Tool Suite.
