What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end integration of the new AI-native data pipeline into all Crystal products while preserving customer SLAs.
• Restore platform foundations to achieve target latency (sub-two-second) and scale toward 100K RPS.
• Rebuild the engineering management layer to establish clear accountability, predictable delivery, and technical depth.
• Drive AI adoption within the engineering organization to create shared infrastructure for code generation and automated testing.
• Partner with GTM, product, and finance teams to translate technical investments into revenue and customer outcomes.
• Manage the engineering budget, hiring plan, and vendor relationships.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years leading platform or infrastructure organizations as VP or Head of Engineering.
• Proven track record of leading at least one major platform migration or large-scale rebuild with continuous service.
• Experience operating low-latency, high-availability distributed systems with multi-tenant SaaS workloads.
• Practical experience integrating AI into engineering workflows and automation.
• Direct experience in blockchain, crypto, fintech, payments, or large-scale data platforms.
• Strong ability to build accountable, high-ownership engineering organizations.
