Location: Global Remote (preference for some overlap with EST working hours)

What you will do

• Scale and evolve a high-performing engineering organization, maintaining a high talent bar during periods of rapid growth.
• Define and drive architecture for mission-critical systems powering data delivery and cross-chain communication.
• Establish engineering standards and practices to elevate system design quality and operational rigor.
• Ensure resilient, fault-tolerant infrastructure capable of operating in adversarial and financially sensitive environments.
• Shape company-wide technical direction and represent engineering in high-stakes internal and external contexts.

Requirements

• Experience scaling an engineering organization of 60+ engineers, including restructuring and high-velocity hiring.
• Direct accountability for production systems with 99.99%+ uptime requirements in adversarial or financially consequential environments.
• Deep technical fluency in distributed data systems, specifically tradeoffs across latency, reliability, and delivery guarantees.
• Strong conviction in blockchain technology supported by hands-on engagement with crypto ecosystems.
• Ability to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Nice to have

• Experience operating at an executive level in customer-facing or leadership settings.
• Experience working closely with founders in high-growth, post-Series B environments.
