What you will do

  • Manage firmware updates and the full lifecycle of server hardware.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and connectivity issues.
  • Provision and decommission bare metal servers.
  • Maintain hardware configuration standards using out-of-band management interfaces like IPMI, iDRAC, and iLO.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and on-call rotations.
  • Contribute to infrastructure scaling, hardware selection, and operational documentation.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with server hardware in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of data center infrastructure and networking fundamentals (L2/L3).
  • Experience with hardware lifecycle management and component replacement.
  • Proficiency with out-of-band management tools (IPMI, iDRAC, iLO).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience writing technical documentation.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with large-scale environments (500+ servers).
  • Knowledge of OpenStack, CMDB, or DCIM tools like NetBox or Device42.
  • Experience with automation via scripts and APIs.
  • Familiarity with hardware vendors such as Dell, HPE, or Supermicro.
