What you will do

• Manage daily performance of third-party customs brokers and clearance agents supporting shipments into the UK and EU.
• Monitor and ensure brokers meet agreed SLAs for entry preparation, submission, and issue resolution.
• Act as the primary operational escalation point for customs holds, documentation gaps, and entry rejections.
• Track and analyze broker KPIs, including clearance cycle time, exception volume, and rejection rates.
• Partner with Logistics and Global Trade Compliance to ensure clearance milestones align with delivery expectations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, escalation playbooks, and broker operating procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in customs operations, import operations, or trade compliance.
• Hands-on experience supporting customs clearance activity specifically in the UK and/or EU.
• Proven experience managing third-party customs brokers, freight forwarders, or clearance providers.
• Strong understanding of HS classification, customs valuation, country of origin, and duty/tax assessment.
• Ability to track operational KPIs and drive corrective action plans based on performance data.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, trade compliance, or a related field preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-volume B2C/ecommerce customs clearance models.
• Knowledge of UK/EU import processes, Import VAT, and IOSS/OSS concepts.
• Experience supporting imports into key EU markets such as the Netherlands, France, or Germany.
• Background working within apparel or home goods retail categories.
