Senior Database Administrator (GCP)

TL;DR

Senior Database Administrator (GCP): Responsible for designing, securing, automating, and maintaining cloud-native database platforms on GCP, while supporting other database systems (DB2 LUW) and supporting modernization and cloud migration initiatives with an accent on cloud-native architecture and performance tuning. Focus on database security and compliance, high availability and disaster recovery, and automation & DevOps.

Location: Fully remote within the United States. Final round of interviews will take place onsite at our Chattanooga, TN office.

What you will do

• Utilize logical models to ensure efficient and reliable database performance.
• Design and develop logical and physical layers for various databases.
• Lead in handling data testing, reporting, back-ups and restorations.
• Manage and maintain data in all production and non-production databases and replication servers.
• Provide technical assistance and mentoring staff on developing conceptual and logical database designs and physical databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Sciences related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of systems and programming experience required.
• Proven skill with information technology in use at BCBST is required.
• Proven analysis, design, and coding skills, and demonstrated success in leading large and complex projects.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers.
