TL;DR
Database Administrator (PostgreSQL): Designing and managing large-scale high-performance database systems with an accent on reliability, scalability, and security. Focus on optimizing PostgreSQL clusters, automating operational processes via IaC, and ensuring business continuity through robust disaster recovery strategies.
Location: Remote (Cyprus) or relocation to Mexico, Serbia, Cyprus, Spain, Kazakhstan, Georgia

What you will do
- Architect and optimize database infrastructures to support large-scale, high-traffic workloads.
- Administer and maintain PostgreSQL clusters across multiple environments.
- Design and operate backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Automate scaling, monitoring, and maintenance using Terraform, OpenTofu, CloudFormation, Ansible, and GitLab CI.
- Optimize schema design, query execution, indexing, caching, and storage performance.
- Configure replication and sharding strategies for high availability and geo-distribution.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA in production-grade, distributed environments.
- Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Expertise in managing databases on AWS, GCP, Azure, or Yandex Cloud.
- Advanced skills in SQL query tuning, schema optimization, and indexing.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or Go.
- English: B1 or higher required for communication with an international team.
Nice to have
- Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or CloudFormation.
